"Toto,
I don't think we're in Redding anymore!" No, this isn't Redding; this
picture, from October 2003, was taken at Plimoth
Plantation, Plymouth, MA. If you move your cursor over the
picture, you can see "Plymouth Rock!"*
I began teaching at Shasta College in 1994 after earning an M.A. in History at CSU, Chico.
From 1994 through 2001 I taught Early and Modern U.S. History, African American History, and California History at Shasta College.
In 2001 I moved to Princeton, New Jersey and began another Master's program. Although I was becoming a student again I did not want to leave teaching altogether, so I began teaching online. Since moving to Princeton I have developed and taught the first two History Internet courses offered through Shasta College.

History 17B: Modern U.S. History, From 1865
What do students think of the class? Here is what one student, from the Fall 2003 semester, thought of the course:
"Thank you for a wonderful semester. I appreciate your guidance and all you have helped me with. Most Internet classes I have taken are not very challenging. Your class has had a profound impact on the way I view our history and has encouraged me to pursue a greater understanding and find out more about our past. Honestly, before this class, I have never had any interest in History. I am a Math and Business Major. As a professor, through your class, you have made a difference in my educational experience. Thank you." [History 17B, Fall 2004]
